Do Not Weep was created while I was sitting in my office, bawling my eyes out and wondering where God was during one of the hardest seasons of my life. After losing my job, everything I tried to fix it seemed to go nowhere. All I had left was tears and a broken heart. I was falling deeper into depression and felt like I was falling apart.
One morning, I found Revelation 5:5: “Do not weep.” The words felt almost like a command. John was weeping because no one was worthy to open the seals, and one of the elders told him not to weep.
I wrote the verse down so I could read it over and over. Even months later, there were still moments when I fell on my face crying. I wear these words because, even with tear-filled eyes, they remind me to lift my head, dry my eyes, and remember who He is.
I keep returning to Him and His strength.
